Let’s Dance On Our Wedding Day: Intricate New Romance Novella, Inspired by Song, Quick-Steps Under the Spotlight

Frank Robinson’s ‘Let’s Dance On Our Wedding Day’ takes two unlikely lovers, puts them into each other’s arms through dance and spirals them into a tug-of-war love story where the dancefloor is anyone’s game. Inspired by an up-tempo and empowering “first dance” wedding song, also composed by Robinson, the story of Kellie and Jake will leave readers scrambling to find their dance shoes.

As a songwriter, Frank Robinson’s eclectic yet unique style has not only seen him release tracks under his own exclusive Mountain Rio label, but has also seen his creations linger in the Official European Music Chart. Also a passionate and intense fiction writer, it’s no surprise Robinson is about to mirror that same success in the literary world.

His latest and most powerful short story to date, ‘Let’s Dance On Our Wedding Day’, is actually inspired by a song of the same name. It’s a love story unlike anything else on the market; the saga of two torn lovers finding each other’s arms on the dance floor…and possibly in marriage.

Synopsis:

Kellie Anne Ross moved to Chicago two and a half years ago, to try and start her life over after a breakup that left her heart in pieces. Now a successful dance instructor with her own studio, the displaced Texan spends her time teaching students, winning prizes in line-dancing contests, and dodging phone calls from her obsessed ex Carl. A master at keeping her chin up in bad circumstances, she secretly dreams of the day she can move on from her past and find a good man to spend her life with.

Chicago police detective Jacob Evans lost his brave, big-hearted Tennessee-transplant partner Tom three months ago in a brutal shootout. A new country and western fan thanks to Tom, Jake has a promise to keep to his lost partner: learn line dancing, one of Tom’s passions, and stick to it long enough to enter a dance contest. Problem is, normally confident, athletic Jake can’t dance a step.

When Jake comes into Kellie’s studio one rainy evening to sign up for lessons, their burdens feel lighter the moment they look into each other’s eyes. But their road to romance is a rocky one: Jake’s two left feet can improve with practice, but Kellie’s past will not let her go. When the two start dating, her less-than-bright stalker ex, Carl, goes on the warpath. Enlisting the aid of a misguided private eye and a caught-in-the-middle streetwalker, Carl hatches a plan to get Kellie to break up with Jake…or else. When Jake steps up to save the day, Kellie comes to realize that the worst dance student she has ever had is also her best chance at true love.

“This is rather a unique project” explains the author. “The book’s narrative was inspired by a song which can also be downloaded along with the book. It’s an extremely rare combination that straddles both of my talents. I think the romance genre is long in need of a shake-up, and there’s no better way to do it than defying its boundaries and releasing a multi-format story that will stir the emotions of any reader.”

Continuing, “I release my music under my own Mountain Rio label however, the songs are recorded in Nashville by legendary music producer Stacy Hogan. But don’t think this is something only hard-core Country music fans will love; at its core, this is a trend-bucking romance story that will satisfy anyone with a thirst for unlikely love.”
